Hungary and England will face off in the 2022 World Cup Qualifiers for the European zone Group I, Friday (3/9/2021). This match will be held at the Puskas Arena, Budapest, Hungary, with kick-off at 01:45 WIB.
These two teams both appeared at Euro 2020. Hungary played impressively with high fighting spirit, but failed to qualify from the hellish group inhabited by Portugal, France and Germany. Meanwhile, England were forced to cry in the final. The Three Lions played fantastically throughout the tournament, but lost on penalties to Italy in the final match at Wembley.
Hungary and England immediately turned their focus to the 2022 World Cup Qualifiers.
England still leads the standings in Group I with nine perfect points after beating San Marino 5-0, Albania 2-0 and Poland 2-1. Hungary are in second place with seven points after drawing 3-3 with Poland, winning 3-0 over San Marino and beating Andorra 4-1.
Hungary have only lost once in their last 14 matches (W7 D6 L1). Meanwhile, with penalties being the exception, England are unbeaten in their last 13 matches (W11 D2 L0).
