Juventus will face host Udinese in the first week of Serie A 2021/22, Sunday (22/8/2021). The Old Lady was determined to step on the gas right away at the Dacia Arena.
Last season, the first season with coach Andrea Pirlo, Juventus was only able to finish fourth. Cristiano Ronaldo's 29 goals were not enough for Juventus to prevent breaking their nine-season dominance in Serie A.
Pirlo was then replaced by Massimiliano Allegri, who previously managed Juventus for the 2014-2019 period. The match against Udinese will be the first official match in his second term with the Old Lady.
Two new Juventus recruits, young striker Kaio Jorge and midfielder Manuel Locatelli, are unlikely to make it into the starting line-up. Allegri will still rely on old faces, from Leonardo Bonucci, Aaron Ramsey, Cristiano Ronaldo, Federico Chiesa, to Paulo Dybala.
Last season, a pair of Cristiano Ronaldo goals gave Juventus a 2-1 win at the Dacia Arena. This time, can Ronaldo and his colleagues immediately step on the gas there?
